Upanayan Chhandog Package

The word Upanayan consists of two words,upa’ and ‘nayan’. ‘Upa’ means near and ‘nayan’ means to take towards. In short,Upanayan means taking one to the Guru, who will teach. Nayan also means ‘the eye’.Upanayan thus means the inner vision (antahachakshu). Therefore, the ritual which facilitates the development of inner vision is called Upanayan.It is the rite of passage to start the formal education. The package contains all the goods required to perform this ritual for CHHANDOG  Maithil Brahmin.

"उपनयन" संस्कृतक दू गोट शब्द 'उप' आ 'नयन' जकर शाब्दिक अर्थ लग / पास जायब होइछ अर्थात गुरु लग में जा ज्ञानार्जन करब।  एहि पैकेज में सांस्कारिक अनुष्ठान में आवश्यक उपयोगी सभ बस्तु - बाँस, माटि, गम्हाड़ि काठक इत्यादि छन्दोग मैथिल ब्राह्मण हिसाबे सम्मिलित कएल गेल अछि।
